      Flexibility

      Where dirt, corrosive gases or other problematic elements occur, fans standard fans would simply stop working. Our PRF range was specially developed for the food, electronics, medical, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. With the help of robust and carefully selected components, PRF fans function reliably in unfavourable conditions.

      Modularity

      The position of the unit’s UV-resistant, waterproof polyethylene casing can be easily changed, making the PRF suitable for various configurations.

      Accessories

      PRF fans can be selected together with a variety of accessories such as connections, dampers, splinter protection, etc. These accessories were made specifically for the PRF so they fit perfectly 100% of the time.


      Temperature

      The PRF range supports continuous operation and temperatures from -15°C to +70°C.

      PRF fans have been developed especially for the exhaust of aggressive media like corrosive gasses or contaminated air.

      PRF is a robust plastic centrifugal fan ideal for applications where the extraction of dirt, corrosive gases, or other aggressive media will harm a standard fan.

      Typical applications are medical facilities and the food, electrical, or chemical industry. The sintered casing made from polypropylene (PP) offers a variety of applications with its connectors from ø 125 – 250 mm.

      The handing can be easily adjusted on-site by turning it, but the standard position is LG270. For more information on configuration options, please download the handing form.

      Suitable for danger zone 2 category 3G with classes IIA and IIB and temperature classes T1 to T4.  A hazardous motor selection form must accompany all PRF EX fan orders.

       To protect the motor from overheating, these fans have integral thermistors (PTC) with external leads, which must be connected to the U-EK230E motor protection relay.

      Construction

      Sintered casing manufactured from UV-resistant PE, waterproof. The casing can be easily turned (standard position for LG270).

      The powder-painted pedestal is manufactured of galvanised steel.

      The motor is outside the air stream (standard).

      Impeller

      The PRF fans use single-flow impellers made out of PP with effective blade geometry, dynamically balanced and paired with corresponding external rotor motors or IEC motor with efficiency IE3.

      Motor

      PRF fans are equipped with AC motors. Depending on the type, the motors are suitable for 50Hz and 60Hz.

      Motor protection

      Depending on the type, AC motors have an integrated thermal protection with manual (electrical) reset, prewired integral thermocontact TK or thermistor PTC with leads to a motor protection device.

      Control

      AC motors can be controlled by frequency converter.

      Installation

      PRF Fans can be used indoors or with specific accessories also outdoors. With a mounted pedestal, the PRF can stand on the floor.  For preventing vibration to the duct we recommend using flexible connections.
