When used as a smoke extract fan the AX-SS is designed to run to destruction allowing occupants to escape to safey.

The AXC(B)-G axial fans have been performance tested in accordance with multiple standards for smoke extraction.

Application
The AX-SS range is designed for continuous operation in ambient temperatures up to 55°C, and to operate in the event of a fire at 200°C for 2 hours or 300°C for 30 minutes for smoke extraction.
Performance
The fan can be configured to suit the individual operating point. Therefore, the pitch angle is adjusted in the factory. This provides a wide range of performance and high flexibility in the selection.
Sturdy and dependable design
The casings are manufactured from heavy gauge steel with pre-drilled roll-formed flanges. Cases are hot-dip galvanized to AS1650 standard. Ahot-dip galvanized steel casing ensures high quality and a long lifetime.

Construction
The fan AXC(B)-G contains two unidirectionally rotating fans that are mounted in series . The casing is made from hot-dip galvanised steel according to ISO 1461 with pre-drilled flanges. The terminal box with IP 65 is mounted outside on the casing.
Impeller
Impellers shall be constructed of aluminium with a cut size optimized for high temperature use
Motor
Motors shall be certified to the specialist smoke-spill application requirements
Motor protection
Motors shall be certified to the specialist smoke-spill application requirements
Control
Motors can be speed controlled by variable frequency drives between 15 and 60 Hz.
Installation
The AX-SS fans can be installed in different positions indoors and outdoors, outside or inside of fire zone (for more information speak to your account manager).
